Potholing is a process used to accurately locate underground utilities and services. The combination of strong water jets and vacuum system allow us to dig a small hole to gain visual confirmation of underground assets.

Non Destructive Digging is an alternative to using mechanical excavation techniques (trencher/excavator) to dig holes or areas out. NDD reduces the risk of damage to underground assets to an absolute minimum due to the controlled use of high pressure water to cut the ground.

Micro-trenching is a popular alternative to mechanical excavation techniques due to the reduced impact on surrounding areas. We cut a trench at a width and depth to suit the conduit or pipe being installed without disturbance to nearby surfaces. This is increasingly important around areas with established finished surfaces such as paved areas, decorative concretes or manicured lawns. 

Hydro Excavation Queensland can assist with the accurate digging of holes for fence posts, retaining walls and foundations. The process removes all excavated waste from the work area and site, ready for the immediate installation of the posts. This removes the risk associated with accidental contact with underground services such as Phone/NBN, especially along front boundary fences.

Maintaining clear drainage culverts is vital to reduce the risk associated with water backing up during rain events. We can clean out any build up from inside the culverts and associated pipes to ensure they are ready for whatever may happen.

Our hydro excavation equipment is ideal for cleaning out build up of dirt under cattle grids, without the need to disturb the settled installation of the grid itself. The effectiveness of the cattle grid is restored to its former function to keep the livestock where they should be.
